These terms govern use of Corroborate, a Reddit moderation quality-assurance app created by Major Void.
Acceptance of these terms
By installing or using Corroborate, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to comply with Reddit's applicable terms, rules, moderator policies, and developer-platform requirements.
What Corroborate does
Corroborate provides tools for community-defined moderation review criteria, documented Approve/Remove decisions, a moderator Review Log, and optional independent review through Uphold or Overturn.
Corroborated does not mean correct. Corroborate records that a moderation decision was reviewed according to the community's configured process. The app does not determine whether a moderation decision is objectively correct or whether a community's rules are fair.
Authorized use
Corroborate is intended for Reddit communities and moderators who are authorized to perform the moderation actions they initiate. Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the app is consistent with their community's rules and Reddit's requirements.
Moderation decisions remain the team's responsibility
Corroborate is a quality-assurance tool, not an automated rules engine or substitute for moderator judgment. Moderators remain responsible for reviewing context, applying their community's standards, and selecting the appropriate moderation action.
An independent reviewer who chooses Overturn authorizes Corroborate to reverse the original Reddit moderation action when the platform permits it.
Review records
Corroborate creates moderation QA records that are separate from the underlying Reddit post. These records may remain available after the original post is removed or deleted. Review records are intended for moderation-team quality assurance and accountability.
Users should not intentionally place unnecessarily sensitive personal information in moderator notes.
Availability and changes
Corroborate is provided on an as-available basis. Features may change, be suspended, or stop working because of app updates, Reddit or Devvit platform changes, outages, policy requirements, or other technical circumstances.
Major Void may modify Corroborate or these terms when reasonably necessary to maintain, improve, secure, or comply with requirements applicable to the app.
No guarantee of outcomes
Major Void does not guarantee that use of Corroborate will eliminate moderation errors, disputes, inconsistencies, appeals, or other moderation problems. The app supports a structured review process but cannot guarantee a particular moderation outcome.
Platform relationship
Corroborate is an independent app built for Reddit's Devvit platform. Major Void is responsible for Corroborate; Reddit does not control the app's community-specific review criteria or individual moderation decisions made through it.
Termination of use
A community may stop using Corroborate by uninstalling the app, subject to Reddit and Devvit behavior governing app data and previously stored records.
Privacy
Use of Corroborate is also subject to the Corroborate Privacy Policy, which describes the information processed and stored by the app.
